For over three centuries it has been carrying out intensive socio-cultural work which, through the Caja Madrid Community Projects and the Foundation, it is currently working in aid, social, educational, cultural and environmental areas. In 2007, the total amount destined to the carrying out of the various programmes within the Community Projects and the Foundation reached 226.2 million euros.
