Distribution by wage level

Caja Madrid is aware that employees must feel their efforts and commitment are adequately rewarded, so has set a standard minimum entry-level wage of €1446.35 per month, plus bonuses and other in-kind and deferred payments. This compares favourably with the local minimum wage whose official level in 2007 was a much lower €570.60 (according to the Official State Gazette).

The Group's equal opportunities policy stipulates the same basic salary for men and women, as depicted in our next table, which offers a breakdown of the workforce by wage level:
