Other social benefits

  • A health insurance scheme for all Group professionals (100% subsidised) and their spouses and children (30% subsidised).
  • Emergency payments, for staff, their spouses and/or children in exceptional cases which do not enjoy standard healthcare cover and cause demonstrable economic hardship.
  • Pension Plan. Contributions to an external supplementary pension scheme on a quarterly basis, equating to 7% of fixed salary and 3% of performance-related pay.
  • Christmas hamper for both active and retired staff.
  • Activities for children. Educational, cultural and leisure activities during holiday periods for the children of employees, at special prices, part subsidised by the Organisation.
  • Benefit packages including the following coverage:
    • Widowhood: 50% of the employee's fixed salary on a lifelong basis (reviewed in line with inflation).
    • Orphanhood: 25% of the employee's fixed salary for each child up to age 23
    • Permanent total disability: 75% of fixed salary on a lifelong basis
    • Severe disability: 75% of fixed salary on a lifelong basis.
    • Caja plus Social Security benefits are capped at 125% of the fixed salary in cases of widowhood, orphanhood and permanent total disability and 150% in the case of severe disability.
  • Life insurance.
  • Accident life insurance.
  • Accident insurance for work-related journeys.
  • Loyalty awards after 25 and 40 years' service.
  • Special discounts on all kinds of services (e.g. MAPFRE Multiservicios insurance premiums) through the Caja Madrid Group's dedicated staff portal, e-personas.
