Environmental management system
These lines of work are coordinated by an organisational group, the Environmental Management Department, whose job is to oversee the Group’s progress towards its environmental goals. The success of these efforts, and their alignment with global strategy, is also under constant review by senior management who set new guidelines as the need arises.
In 2007:
- The Group’s head offices successfully came through their first Compliance Audit with the Environmental Management System, certified in 2006,
- Obra Social's flagship building, La Casa Encendida, had its own Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001:2004.
- Environmental management procedures have been rolled out to the Celenque and Las Rozas buildings.
