The environment programme of La Casa Encendida continued to engage with the goals of sustainable development in a creative and dynamic way. A total of 32 courses and training events were organised in the year, with bioclimatic construction and ecological gardening among the most popular. A series of lecture cycles addressed issues like changes in land occupation in Spain, architecture and town planning, market gardens, conservation challenges. the problems of urban areas and inner city green spaces. Among the year's exhibitions, “La lucidez de la luz” championed the use of renewable energies, while “The Solar System” related how the application of modern technologies has changed our vision of the planets.
