The idea

Caja Madrid has created new brand CMCool with the youth public in mind; an Internet portal with an innovative design channelling its leisure and commercial offering for this customer segment. The site combines a range of financial products under preferred conditions, to overcome their difficulties of access to the financial system, with promotions and features on matters of interest to the younger age group: housing, work, software, cultural events, sports, motor, cinema, etc.

Results

  • Just 3 months from launch, CMCOOL had garnered the most page views in its category, ahead of the main youth portals of competitors.
  • CMCOOL has achieved its target positioning as an acknowledged showcase for the Caja Madrid youth range, and has brought in new business via segment-exclusive product launches like the CMCOOL card and CMCOOL deposit.
  • The Caja Madrid youth portal was named most innovative solution in the “Stakeholder Dialogue” category at the CSR MarketPlace held in Madrid.
  • The CMCOOL deposit and the CMCOOL homebuyer deposit were voted “Best Idea of 2006” by financial magazine Actualidad Económica.
