
Caja Madrid has been issuing the UNICEF card since 1998. Its main feature is that part of the profits generated by the card's use are donated to UNICEF on a regular basis, so holders can play their part in financing health and education projects and campaigns in favour of children suffering hardship.
The card’s growing popularity in its two formats, Classic and Oro, allowed 68% more to be transferred to UNICEF in 2007.
