CSR Policy

The Caja Madrid Group is aware of current and future social needs, and mindful of the impact our activities can have in our communities and environment. We work to honour our pledge to be a socially responsible organisation. The overarching principle of the Group's integrated management system is Social Responsibility (CSR), with CSR standards that reflect our mission, vision and values being embedded in the day-to-day operations.

Caja Madrid's CSR policy carries its organisational values into every area of activity. The adoption of this policy not only assures compliance with current legislation, but goes beyond legal obligations to embrace the needs and expectations of stakeholder groups, in order to forge lasting and mutually beneficial relationships:

  • With customers, a commitment to offering them the best service quality, so they can count on receiving clear, transparent and appropriate information on the products best suited to their needs.
  • With our professionals, so they enjoy the best working and personal conditions informed by a spirit of transparency and open communication.
  • With our suppliers, generating relations built on trust and mutual benefit, and fostering equal opportunity practices and commitment to social responsibility.
  • With the environment:
    • Considering the indirect impact of the financial business in relation to the projects and operations supported.
    • Fostering the use of renewable energies.
    • Promoting optimum consumption of resources.
  • With society, working to create and carry forward programmes, projects and activities aimed at all social groups, with particular attention to the most socially vulnerable and their families, and to promote equal opportunities and universal accessibility, preferably in concert with other social and public agents.
