Salaries and benefits

Caja Madrid uses a range of instruments to compensate and reward the work of our professionals. These substantially improve on the conditions stipulated in the relevant collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), while precluding any differentiation or discrimination beyond those relating to individual performance or the functions of a particular post:

Fixed salary

In addition to the conditions set in the CBA, Caja Madrid applies a number of internal improvements that make for a clear and simple salary structure. Payroll slips contain few items so they are easy to understand and allow everyone to know their annual salary.

Variable compensation

All Caja Madrid employees come under a performance evaluation system which objectively quantifies the overall results of the organisation as a whole, along with individual or team fulfilment of their respective targets, and the personal development of professional competencies. Staff can thus refer to a known set of specific variables to calculate the performance-related component of their annual pay. In the longer term, staff get a special bonus for meeting the goals of a given strategic project. This is the case with Plan 2010, which comes with an economic bonus attached so all persons share in the organisation's success, and see their efforts and contributions duly rewarded.

Non-salary benefits and deferred compensation

All of our people enjoy broad insurance coverage, special loan application facilities, contributions to external pension funds, etc. as part of a far-reaching welfare benefits package that goes far beyond the standard remuneration and the minimum thresholds of the CBA.
