Leaves
- Paid extraordinary leave of up to 10 days a year in exceptional cases, with the days required duly accredited.
- Unpaid leave of up to six months in exceptional and duly justified circumstances. These leaves may be requested every two years, and improvement over the four year minimum stipulated in the CBA.
- Nursing leave for children under nine months. Eligible employees have the option of replacing this one hour leave with:
- A paid leave of ten calendar days (to be taken immediately after maternity leave) plus another five working days during the baby’s first year.
- Equivalent entitlement in full days.
Employees with two children may replace the nursing hour with a paid leave of 20 calendar days plus 10 working days, and those with three or more youngsters may take 25 calendar days plus 15 working days.
This same leave is available to employees who adopt children up to the age of ten
- Leave for hospitalised children up to the age of 14 years.
- Leave for death or grave illness of family members related up to the second degree. Caja Madrid again improves on the statutory entitlement by extending such leave to (accredited) cohabiting couples.
- Loyalty reward leave employees are entitled to one extra day off per year after 15 years of service, two days after 25 years and three days after 35 years.
