Unpaid extended leaves
- Maternity/paternity extended leave:
- Up to a maximum of three years from the birth.
- Option of splitting this leave into two or shorter periods.
- Entitlement to childcare or pre-school study subsidies for other children during the first year.
- Full coverage of the vacant position, to facilitate take-up.
- Leave to care for family members up to the second degree
- Two years when the relative is unable to fend for him/herself due to age, accident or disease and is not gainfully employed.
- Option of splitting this leave into two or shorter periods.
- Voluntary extended leave for a minimum of four months and a maximum of five years. Can be applied for every four years.
- Study leave of up to one year for a master, doctorate or higher studies envisaged in the CBA. Employees maintain the right to return to their position. Available to employees with over two years' actual service in the organisation who have not enjoyed such leaves in
the preceding seven years.
