Security in branches
Given the nature of our business, Caja Madrid is especially concerned about the safety of customers and employees, and we do everything in our power to assure their protection.
All Group employees can access a Branch Security Manual through the corporate intranet, with instructions on how to react in a series of threatening circumstances. This is vitally important, as the collaboration of our staff is of decisive importance for detecting, preventing and investigating
criminal acts involving our organisation, and for protecting the safety of our people and customers.
Courses on all branch security-related matters are available to new, temporary and permanent staff. Employees can also watch a training briefing on the e-personas portal showing them how to prevent or respond to theft, assault or fraud.
Branches are equipped with the latest in security technology, above and beyond the legally required standard, including:
- Digital closed circuit TV.
- Local alarm centres with internet protocol (IP) connection.
- Safety doors complete with metal detectors.
- Delayed opening safes at teller positions to prevent casual theft.
Self-protection plans are in place for central service and flagship buildings as well as emergency procedures at branch level.
