Environmental management system

The key environmental aspects of Caja Madrid’s activity are systematically monitored using the methodology established in the organisation's environmental management procedures. This approach is based on a clear assignment of responsibilities for environmental matters up to highest level, identification of the key environmental management indicators and definition of new goals to spur continuous improvement.

In 2008, Caja Madrid fully implemented its environmental management systems based on certification to the ISO 14001:2004 standard in the Group's headquarters and in Obra Social's landmark building, La Casa Encendida.
