Recycling household vegetable oil

This project provides citizens with a convenient, clean and efficient system for collecting their used vegetable oils for recycling. It is based in the Casa Encendida and in 47 schools and 4 municipal centres in Madrid.

Led by La Casa Encendida, this project promotes energy savings schemes amongst community property owners associations in downtown Madrid. The condominiums that achieve the greatest savings are rewarded with the installation of solar panels. This energy-saving initiative was recently distinguished, in the second edition of the Social Responsibility Market conducted in Spain, with an award in the "environment and climate change" category.
