Development and application of the environmental management system at the new Caja Madrid head offices. The building underwent an environmental diagnosis in 2008. Efficiency considerations were paramount in the design of the new headquarters, with installations that minimise environmental impact.

E-learning course on environmental management for Group professionals. An e-learning course has been developed in environmental management to convey to employees the basic concepts of sustainable development and the certified environmental management system, and promote its implementation.

Adaptation of La Casa Encendida installations in line with environmental management objectives. Consolidation of the environmental management system certified to the ISO 14001:2004 Standard.
New in-house and partnership projects to promote biodiversity conservation, sustainable development and greater social awareness around environmental issues. Promotion of new educational and awareness-raising initiatives and projects, including:

  • Healthy planet, healthy eating.

  • Prize for accessibility in protected nature areas.
